Fleet Technicians
Summary:
Maintain, repair and/or rebuild all gas, diesel, Electric, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle owned and operated by BJCTA. Equipment ranges from light to heavy duty vehicle.
Knowledge of:
Gas, diesel, electric and compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle.
Perform routine maintenance and repair.Perform preventive maintenance services and inspections on vehicle fleet.
Diagnose and repair suspension on light to heavy duty vehicle.
Diagnose and repair air system such as air compressor, airbag, level valves, etc.
Diagnose and repair complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical system.
Diagnose and repair A/C system on automotive and buses.
Diagnose and repair air brake, and hydraulic brake system.
Preform diagnostic on light to heavy duty vehicle using diagnostic equipment and programs such as (Cummins Insite, Allision, IDS, Wabco, Vansco, EMP, E-stroke, etc.).
Minimum of 2 years of automotive/diesel and CNG experience preferred.
Must have a valid driver license.CDL are required.
If you don’t have CDL we will help you obtain one.
ASE in transit bus preferred, but not required.
Training will be available.
Note: We run three shifts: 1st is 7am to 3:30pm, 2nd is 3pm to 11:30pm, and 3rd is 11pm to 7am. These shifts are picked by seniority, so new employees my have to work weekends, evenings or night shift.
