Facilities Technician I

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for ensuring that companys facilities are well-maintained system-wide; including general cleaning. Job classification considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug screen, including random checks in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Drug & Alcohol regulations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1.   Maintaining all company facilities system-wide, including bus stop and bus shelters
      system-wide.
2.   Empties trash into large receptacles, transports trash and waste to disposal area.
3.   Sweep and scrub using brooms, mops, and power cleaning appliances, where
      applicable.
4.   Ability to adhere to safety rules, regulations, procedures and precautions.
5.   Perform minor repairs at facilities and on equipment.
6.   Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
7.   Ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of
      alertness.
8.   Must read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures.
9.   Must understand and follow all safety rules.
10. Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers and supervisors.
11. Perform other duties similar in nature and level as assigned.
12. Must attend mandatory meetings, as required

Education and/or Experience


High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in maintaining facilities. Knowledge in minor repairs helpful

Knowledge
Knowledge of proper cleaning methods. Knowledge of and ability to use general contracting tools; including drills, air hammers, compressors, pressure washer, etc.

Skills Required
Customer service orientation is mandatory. Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and able to understand and follow directions as given.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, DOT medical card, drug screen and have valid drivers license
