Birmingham native, Ronald Lyas, has been employed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for the past 35 years. He is currently a Federal Investigator. Mr. Lyas is the current Conference Of Minority Transit Officials Local Chapter President. He has served as Chairman of the community-based organization, Operation Pride West End; on the Board of Directors of the Central Alabama Chapter for the American Society for Public Administration; and in various positions as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Lyas and his wife, Albertha, have two daughters, LaVette and Maria, and one grandson, Kashmir. Mr. Lyas has been on the MAX Board since 2001, served as the FY 2007 Vice-Chairman, and represents the City of Birmingham. |
